These are photos from the Buffalo National River Park area, mostly in the park itself. Northwest Arkansas is one of the largely undiscovered gems in the US. It has the feel of the best parklands in the US. There is low population density with just over 7,000 permanent residents in Newton County. The Karst formations in the Buffalo National River Park, sculpted by thousands of years of erosion, have created beautiful bluffs, caves, and other scenic areas. This is a hiker and naturalist mecca.
