These plants are rare, and many are extinct in the wild. In some cases, these may be the only photos on the Internet. Our footprint has devastated large areas of the planet. The loss of tropical forest in some regions has eliminated the habitat. In other cases the plants were dependent on a single pollinator that itself became extinct. This is the unfolding tragedy of the 11th hour.
